The Algonquian Indigenous nation that occupies the territory of Mi’kma’ki (Atlantic Canada and the Gaspé peninsula). This spelling indicates a reference to the collective or the plural form. It roughly translates to “family” or “relations.”

Funded Training Opportunity: Heat Pump Cleaning & Maintenance Training
Interested in learning practical, in-demand skills that could lead to your own service business?
The E360 Institute is offering a fully funded Heat Pump Cleaning & Maintenance Training program, providing hands-on instruction in heat pump operation, cleaning, maintenance, troubleshooting, customer service, and business planning.
Training Dates: August 31 to September 23, 2026
📍 Paqtnkek Session: September 17, 2026
Course: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Homeowner Session: Begins at 5:30 PM
Participants will learn:
• Heat pump operation and safety
• Cleaning filters, grills, and coils
• Outdoor unit maintenance
• Troubleshooting common issues
• Customer communication and pricing
• Business planning and documentation
Only 10-12 Seats available!!
This is a great opportunity to build valuable skills while exploring the potential to start a community-based service business.
