Dedicated and caring staff at the Paqtnkek Health Centre support a variety of community health promotion, education and prevention programs from Monday through Friday.

Dr. Steeves, a family practice physician, is available on the second Tuesday of each month to anyone who wishes to receive health care. A pediatrician cares for the youngest patients on a referral basis. A registered nurse is on site Monday through Friday providing immunizations, home health care and pre-natal instruction to anyone in need.

Additional professional service personnel visit the Paqtnkek Health Centre regularly offering services such as foot care, family support, legal aid, women’s supportive services.

Social and family support workers and a field worker from the Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselling Association are available.

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!!!! Our community is small enough to know who needs a home or not. Every year what makes you think someone who applied in 2022 isn’t going to be in the same situation they were in the last 5 years!! Common Paqtnkek Mi'kmaw Nation do better!!
