Our community is made up of Mi’kmaq people who have lived in this area for thousands of years.
We are a small indigenous community located in Nova Scotia, Canada, near the southern shores of Antigonish Harbour, directly off of highway 104, about 15 minutes from the Town of Antigonish.
Our community is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, including forests, lakes, and rivers. We take pride in our culture and traditions, which have been passed down from generation to generation.
Our community is home to a variety of cultural events, including powwows, traditional feasts, and drumming circles. We also have a strong connection to the land, and many of our community members are involved in fishing, hunting, and trapping. Our language, Mi’kmaq, is an integral part of our culture, and we are working to revitalize it among our people.
Despite the challenges that we have faced as an indigenous community, we remain resilient and committed to preserving our way of life. We welcome visitors to our community and encourage everyone to learn more about our culture and traditions.

They’re mandating vaccinations for everyone! NAIG should be boycotted. The vaccine is a population reduction tool… What’s next? The band handing out small pox blankets!?!? Too much evidence to ignore!
Attention all High School Grads: If you have your grad photo, can you please give Tanya a copy or send her a digital copy through her email at t.francis@paqtnkek.ca. It must be clear as it will be used for the banners. Thank you. ... See MoreSee Less
